Centre mounting

What kind of difference does it make for big rotations and corks as apposed to 2.5 or 5 back? Obviously this will be a matter of opinion, but I'm looking for my next pair and everything none centre mounted puts me off? Im probably completely wrong on this!
Any help massively appreciated!

Center mounting does lower the swing weight of the ski, and therefore does make it easier to spin with them, but it's not impossible to get over. Also, you can center mount a non-symmetrical ski, it takes a bit away from the carving, but it'll still work. It's really not a huge difference though to not be centered.

basically this. I always centre my park skis, symmetrical or not because to me it feels better. However i'm fairly sure the difference is mostly psychological.

you always want to center mount your skis... if they are mounted too far back that really be a pain in the ass... just my opinion though

I always go center on my park skis. the way I see it, if you are going within 3 cm, go all the way. -2 isn't going to do shit for all mountain.

thanks for the feedback guys,

just worried that i'll wreck a pair of skis if i mount them centred if its not recommended. looking for something for mainly big air and nailing pistes and the occational bit of jibbing, basically what the line step up is described as!

its such a hard decision to make! really want something durable, there are so many factors to consider! was looking at the AR7s but they arent recommended to be centred and as you guys say, phycologically this puts me off!

Sometimes some companies reccomend you mount them -1.5 or -2 back from center because if you mount them center on their skis, it will mess with the flex pattern on the ski and it will make for an awkward ride and flex.
