JD - if you like 'French-sounding music' check out:
ESL Soundtrack: Vol. 2 Jet Society
Now its a soundtrack of mostly foriegn bands (French/Spanish/American) that have played at a DC bar/lounge called Eigteenth Street Lounge. Its alot of very contemporary jazz and beat type stuff. Very original stuff.
Here's an artist list:
Teresa, Nicole Conte, Stereo Action Unlimited, Bobby Hughes Experience, Mo' Horizons, The Reminiscence Quartet, Grupo Batuque, Trio Electrico, Tom y Joyce, Louise Vertigo, Blanco, and The Cordara Orchestra.
Its a very solid, interesting album. Go get it.

i like tons of french music, Jean Leloup is probably in my top 15 faviorate artists, les Cowboys Fringants are sick too. theres tons of other bands that i like to listen to as well. and personally, on a whole, french rap is better. the lyrics are generally 10x better than any english song, and have sick beats
