So last year, I skied on Salomon sth14s which were the ones without the driver toepiece. I usually rode with the din at about 12 (full forward pressure) and perhaps still released more than I would have liked. However, I am paranoid after tearing my acl two years ago and never want to push my din too much. Also, as a side note, I tore it in the Marker Jesters which doesn't really have a backwards twisting release due to the 1 piece toe piece, if I understand correctly, so recently I have been staying away from that binding as well as the fks 18/pivot 18.
Now the two bindings I have been trying to decide between are the Rossi fks 14 and the Salomon sth 14 driver. First of all, how would these compare to the old sth 14 and second, are these good choices and how are they as far as knee safety when compared?
I can get them both for about the same price so money isn't the concern, just safety/performance. I know that supposedly they should release similarly, but from what I have heard, there is a big difference.
Any help deciding would be much appreciated.
