Visiting Nelson.

Hey guys.

I'm currently in the process of deciding what to do after highschool. I'm from Ottawa and I've known for a while that I need to get out to BC. I'll be visiting Nelson at the end of the month to check out the Selkirk campus and pretty much the whole area! Do you have any recomendations on what to check out other than the campus? Good restaurants? Cool shops? Also, is there any chance whitewater will be open on the 26th?? I know the website says the 27th but you never know. Any help is appreciated and if you have any thoughs on Selkirk I'd love to get an opinion.

Yeah dude, I visit nelso fairly often. at least twice a year. It has a really cool vibe. Gericks is probably the coolest shop in town, and the rest of them are within walking distance. If you like coffee, check out Oso Negro. The Kootaney CoOp also has lots of tasty stuff.
