i just want to say how much of a worthless sport it is.. yes the rest of the world loves it. but iam glad i live in teh us where its not loved.. u wanna know why when the fifa world cup happens they changed it form football to soccer.. and yes i played soccoer for 5 years.. and then i quit went to counseling to overcome what i had done..... now i play football.

You can get away with so much in soccer but people who try to say push someone down and make it completely obvious will get called for then they will go home and call it a 'gay' sport.

You can get away with the most if you're goalie. In football if it was your job to push someone down while they're just running at you that is a much easier job then blocking a 60-70-80 mph ball going through a net that's 8' x 24' and you're 6' 3'. I'm not saying that football is a bad sport though.

^I forgot to say why you can get away with a lot as goalie. Say someone was coming at you with the ball and you ran out to get the ball away from them and you both get knocked down. That person starts rolling around grabbing their leg saying it's broken. If you were a forward and the same happened, you would get a red card. But if you're goalie it's just your job to protect the net, so you cannot get called. Stuff like that.

^He's right, especially on crosses or corner kicks, You can jump up to catch the ball and knock 1 of the forwards down and not get called, but if you were a defender and did tried to head the ball out, you would get a yellow card or something.

Oh soccer can be really fun to watch. Last year at the semifinals for state, the girls varsity got in a fight with the other team. It was raining and our best player got a red card she didn't deserve even though she punched the crap out of the girl that tripped her and said something to her. That kinda sucked cause we lost in the fianls cause that player couldn't play.

i played soccer till the 6th grade when i got pissed and beat the fuck outta one kid who tripped me. They told me i couldnt play anymore so my parents got me some pads and a helmet and i play football now. Footballs such a better sport because your supposed to hit people.

Soccers a pussy sport and football is to much stopping and not enough endurance.
