Chronic Cryptonite or Revival

I'm lookin for a decent ski that i can use all over the mountain but is better for park and urban. I think I've decided on either Line Chronic or K2 Revival. Open to other suggestions though. Help me NS!

I would go with the lines.. there like tanks, and really good skis.

I'd get the chronics, they just feel and seem like better skis that the revivals. I like the flex of the chronics a lot better, its a really good mid flex, super poppy. I'm also not really sure about jib rocker.

got nothing but love for the chronic cryptonite. great intro to the park ski, has a great butter feeling, and pops like no other. like the guy ^above said, its built like a tank. Skied em hard for a season and had no problems at all, even through summer days at hood. Plus you can send em into hardpack or powder and youll have no prob (brought em BC a few days last season and had lift all through). Ide strongly recommend cyrpts

The chronics are fatter underfoot.  You can literally stomp tricks sideways. 

Super stable, super popppy, and they break in really well.

pretty much what everyones said on here get cryptonites, there really nice ive had them last year and the chronics before that, just a really fun ski

I've owned K2 Public Enemies, Line Chronic Blends and Line Anthems.

Public enemies:  Very dead feeling, asymmetrical enough to make riding switch a pain, harsh landings.  (mounted at the suggested mounting point -6cm if i remember right?)

Chronic Blends: Awesome all around ski. Light enough, poppy feeling, wide enough to take in the deeper stuff, responds well on hardpack, decent in the park but slightly too stiff, rides switch very well for a symmetrical ski (mounted -3cm of center)

Anthem: Great park ski, butters like no other I've tried, smooth forgiving landings, rides just as well switch as forward. (center mounted)

Conclusion: While everyone has their own opinion, I absolutely love every pair of Line skis I've owned, they have never failed me.  K2 on the other had have been a let down.  They just haven't given me the same great feeling.  While there's no such thing as one ski for every occasion, the Chronic Cryptonite (which have a very similar geometry as the older Blends) is a very good choice for an all-around ski.  I still spend the majority of my time riding my Blends and ride my Anthems in the Park. The Public Enemies are becoming part of a new bench in my workshop soon.

i ride on masterminds and ther sick, they saw an insane amount of abuse and handled everything i threw at them from cliffs to park to chargin groomers and some pretty deep pow. chronics have a hella dope graphic this year and they are the perfect width underfoot for an all around ski. Line's are great skis and they really know what they are doing over there. as for the k2's, i haven't rode these but from what i hear they are great skis, and the dimensions are somewhere along the lines of the chronics and k2 also makes great skis. i haven't ridden either of these but i love my masterminds and line is a great company, but it sounds like ther both good skis and u can't go to wrong.

i have the chronics. beast at everything. im a beginner in park at these are a great ski to start to feel the way your body spins with skis on. get the lines. period

i got chronic crips and was goona mount at -1 but how did u like the -3 in the park? i know they were chronic blends and not my ski but they close enough.

Revival is sick for everything. Jib Rocker is completely flat underfoot, so it rips in the park, no catching on surface swaps, buttery, and with the tip and tail rocker, awesome for jibbing and softer snow. They are burly underfoot so you won't feel like you are on a wet noodle. After I skied a pair I went home and took the bindings off my Extremes and retired them to a friend.

Peep Collin Collins summer Hood edit. He is skiing Revivals for most of it.

To the dude reviewing PEs, lot's has changed since that ski came out in 2005. AND you were skiing it 6 back. Makes a difference in the park and gives you a larger front shovel.

-3 was perfectly fine for park use.  Spinning on and off rails is still ok, if a bit different feeling.  My Blends rarely see park use now that I have my Anthems, its nice to have a pair of skis with edges.

Dub post time.

For sure man, our industry and almost every product we own is drastically different from 2005.  My skill level is also very different, making an unbiased review more difficult. I quoted the mountings on each pair of skis to show my views along with how my equipment was set up at the time.

...I would like to see how a new set of K2 planks ride this season.  As I said though, I have nothing but love for all my Line equipment.

K so I just read a thread about the Volkl Bridge and those sound maybe better for doing both park and pow n stuff cuz the Chronic seems to be more like a park ski so i'm back to undecided bout the skis I should get...

Not gonna clutter the forums with a new thread so ill just state my question here. I do about 60% trees/groomers 40% park. Any recommendations for mounting my bindings on my cryptos?

if you wanna get better in park the closer to center the better. its easier to ski a center mounted ski out of park than it is to have a -6 ski in park. your ratio is similar to what i ski and i have mine at -2

i would go with the chronics and make sure you center mount em, they will work a lot better for you both ways
