Replying to Snow/Ski Helmets

why the FUCK does a snow helmet with no face protection that is subjected to lower impact ratings than bike helmets, cost just as much as a fucking full-face mountain bike helmet rated at higher impact speeds and safety standards?
i'm asking because i need a new skiing helmet and i'm fucking baffled by how the average snow helmet seems to be priced at $150. i got my full-face protec MTB helmet for $140 and it's guaranteed to protect my head better than any of these fucking snow helmets. you can buy 661's safest MX helmet for the same price as some of these "high-end" snow helmets. what the fucking fuck someone please explain to me how this is fair. do snow helmets come with magical enchantments or some shit?

anyways i probably won't ski with a helmet this season because my head isn't worth the price of a new skiing helmet.
