Please tell me how I did.

1 minute = wayy too long of an intro for a movie that short. I wasn't a huge fan of the black between each clip in the beginning. When they were walking in the intro, there was too much empty space before anything happened. You start to wonder if it's a continuation of the walking sequence or a new one.

Generally, you don't want to have the same composition twice in a row. The first sequence where you're hitting just the red rain it's the same shot over and over. Try getting different distances (close up, medium, far) as well as different perspectives (left, right, high, low, straight from the front, straight from the back). I'm guessing you just set up the tripod and wanted to sesh yourself for a bit, so that's what the first sequence was.

For the cable cam, you'd either need a wide angle or to be farther back. It looks odd with the person's head cut off.

All in all, it's on the better side of a first edit. Just keep watching quality edits and you'll get a sense for composition and such.

It looks like you cranked your saturation, its way to intense, the reds are bleeding/washed out real bad.

i put on a ton of color correction because it looked pretty bland. ill tone it down next time

no, that most likely will not be of much use. photo tripods can be much cheaper; they're designed to hold much less weight and have no movement once they're locked. you want a cheap, smooth, video tripod. Try looking in the 75-100$ range, but more importantly go to the store. you'll have much better success if you go to a camera store and look at their tripods and actually try them out. they'll let you test everything you need there; after all, they are trying to sell their stuff.

If nothing else, look into getting just a head for a tripod. it'll work a lot better than having nothing at all; just be careful you get one that will work with your legs.

as for the edit itself-
most stuff was already mentioned, I'll just say what I noticed

- tone down colour correction altogether. too much sat.; red's too high.

- opening sequence was not very smooth. try this- when editing your next edit, limit yourself to having a harsh drop to black transition only three times... no more than that. get creative with the other transitions, but keep it simple. a couple fades, but for the most part, just cut between two clips but make sure to have shots that tie together the scene.
