Best resorts in Eastern Europe?

 Any suggestions on best resorts in Eastern Europe? Was thinking about places like Kranjska Gora, Slovenia... Trying to avoid the $100/day resorts in the Alps.

Slovaki/Crotia are meant to be quite good, don't know what the mountain ranges are called, pretty cheap as well.
