there isnt even blood... its too shitty to see anythign really, its nothing shocking, if you've seen any war movies, or any movies with gore in them, this is much less intense... and to say that this makes you chnage your staus on the war is rediculous, its one man...

First of all, 'that guy' is named Nick Berg. And his father Michael Berg would certainly disagree with most of the posts in this thread.
Michael Berg used the spotlight that was cast upon him to communicate a message of understanding and tolerance. And what happened? He was completely subjugated by the mainstream media. They ignored him, totally and utterly.
And yet the major right-wing media outlets use Nick Berg's death to perpetuate a message of hate and to make people think 'Die, Iraqi scum' whenever they think about this tragic event.
This is the same attitude that leads to terrorism. When you generalize a whole people by subtly making connections in your mind (i.e. 'The Iraqis did this'), you begin to see the millions of people living in Iraq as 'the enemy.'
Makes you want to hurt them, to exact revenge, doesn't it? Well, now you know how those (few and far-between) terrorists in the Middle East feel when they hear about (for example) prisoner abuse at Abu-Ghraib.

as much as i feel bad for all the americans out there in iraq, the iraqi soldiers have to suffer too, except they don't get as much pity as u.s. soldier. for ex, this iraqi soldier was beheaded, and a bunch of palestinians started playing soccer with his head. do we make a big deal about that? no because we are all talk about the american soldier that was beheaded. yeah that was bad, but the iraqi sit.was just plain cold.
