The only reason we have to be upset with this kind of publicity Jiberish is getting is because it will eventually turn into the next big thing that fashionistas and trendstarters want to wear, which will only lead to more and more people wearing it. It's great for the brand but personally I'd like Jiberish to stay in the skiing community only. Oh well

there's a little bit of sense to everyone who's upset he's wearing Jiberish.
While it can be said that it's good that he'll be giving publicity to the Jiberish brand, it's unclear if that's good or bad publicity.

If all the hated hollywood celebs wear Jiberish, that's more of a blow to the Jiberish name than it is a helpful and lucky break for a small time clothing company.

I think everyone on NS buys out of their limited stock within the day of it being available to the public, so why should we cry about it? Its not like some j beibs fan is constantly searching NS for the release date of the new line, so if he happened to want Jiberish, he wouldn't even be able to buy it, since almost all of it is sold out already.

i was just going to make this point. jiberish is not exclusively a skiing brand. yes, they do collab with level 1 but they're an urban streetwear company

Gabe: Well myself, Dave, and Pete Drago all ski and snowboard. Me and Pete ski and Dave snowboards. We just saw a void for street wear in the ski market. We saw that skiers were repping skate and snowboard brands, but there’s this absolute sense of identity with skiing, or with any sport, where when you’re off the mountain you want to wear something that says “I’m a skier.” There wasn’t a loungewear or street wear company that was doing it. Siver Cartel had been doing it, but unfortunately they went away.

let me make is clearly that i'm not trying to argue with you or be hostile, but that happens a lot on here...

he says that the company is "filling the void for streetwear" in the skiing market. the point i intended to make was that Jiberish is not a company like Saga that caters really only to skiers. while Jiberish is heavilly involved in the ski market, it's not sold exclusively to skiers.

right but there would be no way to only have skiers buy jiberish its clothes anyone can buy it or wear it. the simple fact of the matter is that jiberish was created by skiers for skiers similarly to how quiksilver was created by surfers for surfers. look at quiksilver now while jiberish may not get to that level it shows that anything is possible. tons of people wear quiksilver and dont surf and it doesnt phase me in the least. as long as jiberish continues to come out with top quality products and makes them in limited numbers i could care less who wears it because they are all supporting an amazing company.

exactly. i actually ski in a quiksilver jacket, so i know exactly what you mean. i have no problem with BOB rocking jiberish, they make pretty sick gear and anyone who buys jiberish essentially is supporting the ski industry. i was unaware that it was made by skiers for skiers!
