so at my local mountain in upstate New York your not allowed at all to do inverts. the ski patrol will go as far as taking your seasons pass and not refunding the money. the think that doesn't make sense though is that on the warning sign in the park it says ski at your own risk and doesn't say no inverts. Is it a new york state law or is the ski patrol at my mountain just being a bitch?
I'm in ontario and there are lots of signs saying no inverts but alot of the resorts don't care. Although some do. Your mountain is just being a bitch.
at my mountain we have this old ski patrol guy who used to be an aerialist, hes like 60 now and every once in a while he will throw a huge backflip of a 50 footer.
europe does give a fuck and in any big resort they wont open the park if there is fog or if there is wind they wont open the jumps.
and half of the job of the diggers is preventing gapers from getting killed. so your no supervision is not true.
they will never have really big features open to the public.
you ll almost never see a gap to rail in france.
big jumps ok but even that... i can count on my fingers the resorts in france that have a 70+ ft jump open to everybody..
but it s true that no one gives a fuck about skiing off piste :)
