He's been with the Twins for 6 years. Lebron was with cleveland for 7. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't.

I'm not saying every athlete is like that, but the vast majority are.

Haha cleveland is so butt hurt. If they want to be mad at anyone, blame the cavs management for not getting leborn any decent team for the 7 years he was with them. You have the best player in the world on your team, and you can't get one other decent player to help support him, what did they think was going to happen?

People complaining about how leborn did it, having a nationally televised interview on espn... You guys realize how this was the biggest free agency trade in history, I think it was appropriate to have a press conference about it. Fucking shit helped charity to, don't know what the problem is.

Also I had bet there would of been a good chance lebron would have gone back to cleveland at some point in his career, but based on the fucking crying cleveland has done, I doubt that ever happens now. So yea good job cleveland, screwing yourself on ever having the cavs win a champisonship anytime in the foreseable future. Also thanks for screwing Ohio on having any decent professional sports team.

so sad but absolutely true. i love to see athletes that play for the love of the game, and not entirely for the money. brett favre is a prime example. while he overstayed his welcome in the NFL, i understand why he can't leave because he feels like he's nothing without football. i thought lebron could be the same way, i hoped he would be the same way for his own sake. unfortunately, he really didn't live up to expectations.

btw...i hate cleveland, i'm a die hard celtics fan

I dont really get why cleveland (as a city) has a right to be so mad about this. Its just how sports like this work. What are they expecting to accomplish by producing such a whiney add? I'm actually curious about who funded the add. If it was done by any kind of government organization, it would seem to be a horribly irresponsible use of tax payer dollars.

I completely understand him leaving because he wants to win but the WAY he did it I disagree with. Waiting until the day before Free Agency ends, having a big press conference thing for it... it proved that LeBron is like every other NBA star... nothing but ego.

Nike is a business. With their ad they were able to re-associate themselves (in the public eye) with the most discussed sports figure at the moment in the entire country. I've said it before, all publicity is good publicity.

Cleveland though? Cleveland is a city. And yeah I know, popular sports figures=high game attendance=economy. But by advertising that he isnt there anymore, the only thing they could possibly accomplish is generating more revenue for Miami and Nike by continuing to advertise the fact that he isnt there any more, and thus continuing to keep him in the public eye.

well as long as he is happy for the next 8 years as a Twin (the deal he signed at the beginning of the year) I'll be fine, hopefully we can get a world series for him.

Then at the end of that if he leaves oh well...he will have been with the Twins for 14 years and be 35...so if he goes and wins a championship like KG did hopefully he will also thank the fans from Minnesota like Kevin Garnett did.

Not really surprising, you don't seem to understand much so your opinion on pretty much anything is void. That aside, there are 15k+ of them to go through, so I doubt you've seen them all. I once recommended a pair of skis based on age and height, that was back in 07. and then I vaguely remember ~2003 there was a debate over Salad Dayz and Happy Days who copied who's title I think I made a good post in that one. As far as your posts go, keep it up steverino, anytime you get confused I'll be right there to tell you how dumb you sound.
