Krob: Everything was done in cinema 4d. It's an amazing program, very popular in the motion media community. Super easy to use too, that mech was the first time I've ever modelled anything. I downloaded some cool HDRi environments and lighting kits for the render too.
even more impressive knowing it's your first model. i used to mess around with Blender and 3dsmax a lot in hs and never made anything that detailed haha
Re-intepretation of a Van Gogh painting. I forget the name. One of my best, I've had people offer to buy this before!
Dr. Seuss type landscape. Fauve style. The building at the bottom I was picturing arches with being able to see through to sets of stairs.
Snake going through eyes of the skull. Classic dark art
Playing around with chinese letters (some more at the top of the sketch) and an OM symbol designed on a skull. And on top of that the skull is coming out of a lotus flower!

Man, I'm so humbled that people are liking my work! Thanks to everyone that has commented and upvoted over the past few days. I really love posting on this thread, and seeing what everyone else is working on too.
To dillinger, The process varies from project to project, but this one was pretty easy. I use the color picker and pick the "average" tone that best represents an area. If I uploaded it properly, this should be a .gif of the general process.
I'm really feeling the skeletal study of that horse!
Heres a quickie from in between classes.
I realy like doing pencil portraits, but I feel like I need to broaden my artistic (and creative) horizons. Maybe move into abstract, or keep practicing design.. I dunno. whatever I want to do I guess.

So I'm trying to do this low poly portrait of Jossi, and I just cant go any further right now. Trying to generate convincing polygons for pretty the super subtle shading in the black areas is really rough, and trying to do the hair is even tougher. I'm getting kinda frustrated actually, and if anyone has a critique, and any words of advice, I could use the outside perspective.
I don't have advice because I don't do this sort of thing but I can offer encouragement, this is super sick as it is, Finishing it out would be really cool but you could even just through a few lines back, implying it continues and have it kind of fade out, almost like the titles in art of flight, just a suggestion but nice work!
Overall I am pretty happy with it, and the pencil part of it was a lot easier than my first pencil project, but the colored pencil par was a pain in the ass, I really didn't know what I was doing as seen in the areas like the black waters fading to yellow, the odd looking whitewater, and the trees along the beach. But it was definitely a great learning experience
maybe not overly helpful, but when I was designing this poster I had originally planned for there to be two whole figures and then ended up just having the figure fade into the background which is another route you could try to take.
