That was pretty cool i'm in columbus and people still are pissed. He was the first good thing to happen to the whole state of ohio for a long time and he just left.

The fuss is because he grew up near cleveland and was supposed to be some sort of hometown hero, and he acted like he was for 7 years. Then, on national tv "the decision" happened. It's like he decided to leave cleveland in the worst way possible.

People not from Cleveland just don't get it. What do we have in Cleveland? Nothing, except professional sports teams to represent us. And it just so happens that all of those teams blow. So enter LeBron James. Pretty much a Cleveland native who turned around the Cavs and put Cleveland on the map again. He once said he wouldn't leave until he brought a championship to the Cavs. He became the face of Cleveland and pretty much the face of Ohio. Once everyone heard about "The Decision", it was assumed he was fufilling his promise of winning Cleveland that much desired championship, which no Cleveland team has won in like 50 years in any sport. So it was pretty harsh to announce on national television that he was "taking his talents" to Miami and breaking the promise that so many other Cleveland athletes and owners *coughcoughArtModellcoughcough* have broken over the years as well.
