there was a pair of invaders at my local ski swap for 25 dollars!!!!!! i almost bought them but they were beat up, had no bindings, and were like way too small. but 25 dollars i was like holy shit they are INVADERS!!!!
I'm new to rails/jibbing etc and don't want to ruin my Blends. I've seen some super cheap, used but ok, Invaders in a 178cm. Seem like the perfect thing to mess around on? However I'm 6ft 5, 190lbs.
Are they just going to be noodley blades? Or am I right in thinking who cares if im just learning right?!
Line invaders are horrible they instantly fall apart upon making contact with snow. And if they truly were the best skis they wouldn't have been discontinued.
my 08 09 invaders i loved, until i snapped them on a summer set up, only then did i realize that the edges came off so quick and water had seeped in to the core and snapped them, then and only then did i realize that they sucked dick
I'd get something longer, like 180+, since you're a big guy.
Maybe see if you can find some moment reno jibs in 181 or some volkl walls in a similar size, bother those are symmetrical like the invaders but constructed better (sidewall vs cap) and have non shitty bases and will be stiffer and offer you some support that you will probably want.
idk... over the last 3 seasons ive had 2 pairs of 171 and a pair of 178s... i thought they were the funnest park ski id ever ridden... that being said they didn't hold up so well...
