My cousin just made me a longboard (with two fiberglassed layers of maple) and he installed the trucks himself, however the board turns the opposite way I lean which is a bit of a problem. I do not know too much about longboards so I do not know whether this is a problem with the trucks or the board itself - or whether I can fix it myself... I have pictures of the board below so hopefully someone can help me out.
Wait, so if you lean over the right side the board turns left? Unless the trucks are on very lopsided or something I don't see how that's possible. If you just set it down and push it does it tend to turn one way while rolling?
Wait are they not reverse kingpin trucks? What kind of trucks do you have on there? They look like normal trucks mounted as if they were reverse kingpin trucks.
Yeah now I'm gonna try my normal skateboard trucks backwards and see it it turns the other way. And I'd guess reverse kingpins mounted backwards would do the same?
Wow i never knew that trucks mounted backwards could do that. honestly if someone got use to riding like that where they would lean opposite and it went the other way, it would be fun to watch.
No offense, i think it's great that youre getting into longboarding and all but maybe you should do a little background research so you know what you're doing... for example- which way the trucks go on.
i saw the problem b4 i read the rest of the replies (that the trucks are on backwards) and i though...'oh yay, i found the answer'...scrolled down and about another 10 people have also... haha
