Replying to Changing boots for 10/11 season. Salomon to FT.
So for the past two seasons I've been riding a pair of Salomon ghost's (08/09) and have had few complaints surrounding their outstanding performance all over the mountain. Unfortunately I struggled with various boot pains and fit problems in the later part of last season. I had foot beds molded, made certain adjustments, but in the end it came down to a lack of proper fit from the get go. With the 10/11 season beginning I needed to get a pair of boots that would allow me to charge as many days in row as I wanted without having to stop because of miscellaneous boot pains of all variety. Just recently I had a pair of FT konflicts (09/10) fitted by a boot master at my shop. I've heard all the rave about FT's in the past, but I'm interested to hear others opinions on the flex, performance, and functionality in comparison to the Ghost's or any boot of similar caliber.
Sparknotes: Ghost/ordinary shell shape free ride boot vs. FT konflict. (flex/performance/etc.)
Thanks!
