Replying to The pictures section is completely dead.

I made a thread awhile ago discussing how the vids and pics section needed a re-hyping, but we'll forget about the videos section for now. some comments are still flowing over there.

i just looked in the pics section. For real - on the entire first page currently, there are 4 comments total. Looking back in my profile, some of my pictures got like 10 comments, 9 comments, 12 comments consistently (that's 1 picture!!). and they're not even good pictures.

i feel bad for photographers especially, because i can remember a few years ago when people would be in the pics section, critiquing and giving good advice and props. but seriously, nothing is going on over there now.

maybe it was how the site used to be set up before the last major update. if i remember correctly, pics and vids were easy to get to and easy to upload.

can we find away to make the pics section more apparent? maybe put a big box on the front page advertising it or something?
