Water resistant-Tough HD camera?

Hey people
I've lately been thinking about starting filming a bit more, so now i wanna get something better than just a digital camera or a cell for recording. I'm not looking for anything big and advanced tho.
I would like to shoot in HD at a high resolution and at the same time at 60p because slow-mo is important. The camera has to be pretty tough/ water resistant as well so it doesn't die because of a little snow.
I would like also to shoot other stuff than just skiing with the camera, so a lot of random shit as well.. "chug life"-like maybe.

Now i can't decide whether i should go with
- Kodak, either the Zx1 or the Playsport, which are both very handy and shoot pretty good quality.
- GoPro which looks awesome, but might only be good for the skiing shots and not so much for the random shit, plus it has no LCD-screen..
- Panasonic Sdr-sw21, which is really tough and really easy to use, but not great picture and color quality apparently..

Hope you guys have some hints, advice or other suggestions, cus I AM BEWILDERED -Thanks!

gopro is your best bet. i think everyone here on ns will agree. best quality for your dollar (what your looking for anyways) and waterproof. youtube those cameras and watch sample videos...

how is the recorded sound on the go pro? is it really poor? i just noticed that a lot of people dub their gopro videos with music?

The sound on GoPro isn't the greatest... Honestly, it's terrible. Even with the non-waterproof backing on. But, the video quality is really nice and the cam is reasonably cheap.

Just a pointer, I`m not trying to sound like a fag. I would go with the GoPro HD. Sound on it is great, people dub it with music for a better vibe, especially when they get the music to somewhat contrast to the skiing. Like say it said cock the 9 in a song, sometimes they like to put in a clip showing a skier acting like he is cocking a gun.

Gopro forsure. you can film with it anywhere. sounds IS pretty shitty, but as long as you dont shake it alot you should be ok

Look, if you are only looking for ski shots, yeah of course, no brainer, GoPro. but you mentioned you might want it for something else. The no option lens with such a wide lens would be really debilitating.

Haha im pretty sure everyone in here knows how much gay shit skiers do in ski edits, you don't have to add to the problem.  And I'm pretty sure you ment to use the word relate, not contrast, that means its different.
