Am I good or Bad at skiing?

Decent, you can do dub front and back flips which is pretty good, a few spin. I suggests just working on doing different stuff because it seemed like a ton of front and back flips. Not enough spins, and rails. But I'd say your about 6/10 overall not too shabby.

Dub fronts are sick.
Get more creative and learn some new tricks.
Try off-axis flips, like flats/rodeos, ect.
Try new grabs with your tricks
Rails

you're good at skiing, but i think focus more on the style of your spins and rails and less on hucking double fronts.

Well, you can flip.

Work on your style on spins. Get better grabs in.

I would have to agree with the majority of you. I need to definitely work on my rails and focus less of flips. I will be putting together a new video soon with a wider variety of tricks. I appreciate the feedback, keep them coming please!

All the above. Also, as mentioned, skiing isnt just park (contrary to popular belief on here). I dont know if you only ski east coast park/ice/whatever and dont really have a chance to venture outside of the park, but if you do do, definitely start doing some of that . If you want to film it, maybe pick up a helmet cam, theyre way more convenient. But for sure a solid skier, just more variety. If you had corks and stuff like that down with legit grabs as well as your dub fronts, which are sick, you would be a damn good park skier.

it always seems like kids from the west are good at jumps and suck at rails while eastcoast kids are really good at rails and dont get the chance to hit good jumps almost ever

You clearly got some basic skills down, you just need the "I gotta stick with the tricks I got and work on some style" revelation that many people need to have. Clearly this is all opinion though, if shreddin flips still makes you stoked then it looks like you have a damn good time skiing.

This is constructive, no offense... but from the edit it looks like you have more balls than skill. I'm never going to throw a double front in the park so I can't really talk, but if your goal is to get sponsored... you need to work on your networking skills as much if not more than your skiing. Its who you know, not what you throw. I just made that up right now, but its true.

They want people that will promote their product.

This. If you cut the edit in half and only put 2 or three of your best flips in, then it would have been better but watching a bunch made it seem like they were the only tricks you can do. In virtually every movie part each person doesn't have a repeated trick.

But I just wanna say that superman front flip at 0:20 looks soo sick, you lay out and then tuck.

No. like someone said, you seem to have more balls than skills. But that can lead to progression on skis, so you're in a good position. Basically you need more versatility, we saw about 1000 back and fronts, that's fine and all, but plenty of people can do those. Work on normal spins, like 3's, 5's 7's and 9's, and make them look good and comfortable. Rails need ALOT of work. Versatility is the way to go, and you def need that.

its very true, but having balls is a major part of skiing. I do agree though that I need way more of a variety and yes, my rail skills suck...

without reading anybody else's posts i would say that you are an average jumper who hucks dub fronts, style and grabs needs work, trick variety, and rail game needs to be stepped up a couple of levels

Getting sponsored is more about exposure and promotion than being a phenomenal skier. Start a blog, take some pics in the backcountry with pretty sunsets and you'll be set.

Anyone that is sponsored will agree.

Its weird to see the west to east differences. In a game of snow on a flat bar I would give you all 5 letters so fast your head would be spinning. However, in the air you definitely have me with those fronts and double fronts. The superman frontflip was super sick. Get good at rails and you're a pretty sick skier. I feel like rails are a lot easier to learn because there is less risk and they are easier to repeat so you have a lot of potential.

to be a good skier you cant just do park. you gotta be able to ski everything. some kids at my home mountain are pretty good in the park but can hardly handle the run you have to take to get to the park haha

I think the biggest thing that stood out was confidence in the flips you were throwing. You became super comfortable with them which is excellent, but hinder you at the same time. You get so used to flips (especially front flips) that you soon lose comfort for other tricks, like spins. Then it just becomes natural to flip all the time. I have the same problem with jumps. Once I learned Lincolns, rodeos, and backflips they became my standard jump line tricks. Thus, I decreased in my comfort for spins and such because all I did was Lincolns, rodeos, and backflips. So that's something I'll have to work on this year.

So suggestions to fix it:
1. Try new tricks as much as you can. I did this with rails and I've discovered so many new things that I really don't have a favorite trick anymore.

2. Quit caring what others think about you: I felt like I had to throw a rodeo every other jump because I felt I had to throw a sick looking trick for the onlookers. So forget about them and don't worry about not impressing the crowd. That helped me a bit at the end of the season.

At least that's what I'm doing to get rid of some of the repetitive tricks I'm doing.

just chill. your tricks are good, but do you really want to spend the rest of your life worrying about being sponsored or becoming the best. good skiers are the ones that are having the most fun. you are gonna ruin skiing for yourself if you keep making "am i good" threads.  sponsored skiers aren't made by trying to be the best; they are the ones that love skiing so much that they try to ski as much as they can, and progression comes with that. you think parry started doing bindsouls cause he wanted others approval. if he made an "are my bindsouls cool?" thread tanner would have ripped on him for doing blading tricks. it shouldn't matter what we think. just have fun.

Self-promotion masquerading as a silly question. Come on man.

You ride at Breck....you know EXACTLY how you stack up against other skiers. Are you good at skiing? Well, that's a totally relative question, but the simple answer is, of course you are. Very few people with skis on their feet are willing and/or capable of getting upside down; let alone twice.

Are you looking poised to break out and become sponsored? Well, no. At least not purely based on your current skill level. Watch edits of sponsored skiers. Watch yours. Is their a comparison? Not really. But, that's holding yourself to lofty standards, man.

And, like it's been said countless times on NS, riding ability is only one dimension that prospective sponsors consider when picking riders to back.

My advice would be to push that sponsorship shit out of your head for the time being, mature, get better, work hard, and do it because you fucking love it. If down the line you are still feeling like that's the route you wanna go, do that shit!
