what do you mean restricted, my favorite thing about the sport is that i can put on some skins and climb a mountain then come down.

Selling out is changing your ideals/brand/product for the dollar and in a direction that is different than you once were.

100% agree, selling out is not getting a big name sponsor. Selling out (in my opinion) Would be doing something against your morals just to make money. This whole, who is a sell out and who isn't, is really quite a terrible argument. Some people seem to think that "selling out" means you signed with a big name sponsor that doesn't produce a product specific to your area of interest (Energy drinks signing skiers, shoe companies signing bands... ect.). It does not make you a "sell-out" to want to make money doing something you love. When was the last time that a sport suddenly stopped being fun just because it became popular? I would say never, but you can argue that if you want. In my mind, When somebody stops doing something, whether it be: a sport, listing to a certain type of music or wearing a type of clothing; Then they have sold-out to the notion of a "sell-out". I don't know what everyone else thinks, but if you don't want to do something just because it is popular then, I am glad to have you gone.

selling out is not good for skiing! TEMPORARY money is good for a while but its an investment in quick funds usually, and so money will actually be taken out of the sport and noone will no longer know what they stand for once all the ideals and morals of the community have been raped and pillaged for profit. and then all is left out to dry like your mums crusty panties.

Not all kids in grade school are dumbasses, I may not have years of experience on my side, but I am capable of much more than you seem to think someone in grade school is capable of. For instance, enstead of spending hours wasting my life infront of a screen displaying images that are often ment for pure amusement, I personally find reading a book amusing as well as a better manner of broadening my horizons.

i hate the term blog... but i'm sure people see selling out as say jossi and tj being on nike's team although its widely known that nike uses sweatshops, even though jossi and tj aren't supporters of such a thing. then again, i went on the definition of what brink used because he's one of the most influential people in action sports, aside from johnny tsunami.
