If it passes there are going to be some serious fucking problems all over mexico the united states and canada. A fifty some odd year old drug trade is about to change...A massive amount of anything worth smoking in NY an VT and most likely other states (only lived in two!) is from cali or comes through cali. i dont know what will happen but i think some major drug traffickers are going to find themselves without a job
not legally no because prop 19 is just for cali, once you cross state lines you gotta felony charge....but yes theoretically because its always been illegal. I just believe there will be alot of unforeseen problems outside cali, and alot of dumbasses going there to pick up some bud and bring it home so they can make some money, then you get the people who have been doing that all along losing money so they get pissed. Also the mexican cartels who have been growing and exporting massive amounts of commercial into cali may not have buyers anymore. idk i might be wrong but it will be interesting to see what happens in the long run.
And you really think that the "violent cartels" are just going to be like oh well, we just have to go to college and get real jobs and become meaningful members of society. hahahahahaha no fucking chance, theyre going to be like, pull out the hydro system and google how to cook meth, they love that shit!
cartels and shit are pretty savvy, im sure that they will find a way to remain profitable in today's changing drug economy.
plus, theres still the option of growing massive amounts of weed in cali and then illegally trafficking it to other states and even other countries. if you had a grow op in cali large enough, you could make a profit of shipping marijuana to fucking china and selling it there. really all this bill will do is close off a small area of illegal drug profits, while opening up new opportunities of epic proportion.
um..... bush didn't win because the government didn't want him to, he won because that is the way the presidential election process works. it was made that way as a safety feature for government, because they thought people were too stupid to always pick good candidates, when the constitution was created (the guys who wrote it, btw, were all high interestingly enough)
but your second comment is spot on, people just don't understand it enough to think rationally about the situation.
thats probably too big of a generalization, but they all locked themselves in while writing it, so we'll never really know, the constitution could just be a list of highdeas ;)
but they did smoke the herb, and george washington grew it at mount vernon
are you mad? i can't tell if you are serious or not. my posts weren't that serious but i feel like all of yours are angry and you are just exaggerating and hyperbolizing everything. i don't want to get into an argument on the internet, but i feel like you are taking things that myself and others are saying and misinterpreting it greatly.
You're clearly pretty uninformed about the actual facts...
Mexico seems pretty excited about Prop 19- it'll enable them to likely legalize, as well, and export weed to the largest consumer of pot on the planet.
Based on what I've read all over the internet, news papers, and seen on TV, you're one of maybe 8 people who think Prop 19 is a bad idea.
"As for smoking, I know of no significant communication among the Founders extolling their “great weed.”
But in one of his meticulous agricultural journals, dated 1765, Washington regrets being late to separate his male hemp plants from his females. For a master farmer like George, there would be little reason to do this except to make the females ripe for smoking."
