I've been making random montages of filler footage just to hone my editing/filming skills and was wondering what video format (i.e. MPEG4, AVI, etc.) gets the highest quality. Also, when I try to upload all my shit onto vimeo it processes and plays as just color static. Help please??

Are you sure your video doesn't consist of "Colored static"?
