Fantastic movie. Just got it in the mail (pretty quickly, too!) and it was super sick. I don't understand all of the hate. There really wasn't a whole lot of Glitch Mob-ish music in it and I thought the entire movie was great ski porn. Tons of banger shots and super progressive stuff.
I don't know what is wrong with some of you people, a lot of people hate it if there isn't a lot of urban. Backcountry is where the big boys play, kids. It's where our sport is going and Revolver did an excellent job of portraying that factor. In my opinion, it was a hell of a lot better than Eye Trip. If you are a true skiier, you will enjoy Revolver. Has some of the biggest backcountry trickery I have ever seen and every segment contained at least one progressive aspect of skiing and where it is/should be going. Well done, PBP.

Basically, I agree. I don't think it was better than eye trip but it was a great movie and is getting way too much hate. The editing was a bit dull but the skiing is amazing.

I just watched the first 5 minutes and turned it off. Every year seems so repetitive with every ski movie that nothing really seems novel anymore. Maybe it's just my horrible attention span, I'll give it a go this weekend again.

personally i didn't think it was that bad. Bene Mayr had an absolutely banger segment. yeah, the soundtrack was awful, but there was definitely some good skiing in there. spriggs, simon, and dane killed it as well

So what? You don't need urban segments to make a good ski movie. Sure, A couple urban shots here and there would be cool. MSP is kind of known for having some of the most insane big mountain lines in their films. Sean petitt's segment was one of the most incredible segments I have ever seen.

I'm not from the east coast. I don't hike rails all day and ride urban. I like real skiing, you know... Cliffs, powder.. all that fun stuff. It's truly an opinion thing and what type of skiing you're more accustom to I guess. Personally, I liked Revolver more than Eye Trip because I don't find a park or urban segment really too fascinating or progressive. But that's just my opinion; I'm sure if I were more of a park rat I'd definitely find Eye Trip the be the better movie. It's all preference dude, you're just being ignorant.

Yeah man pretty nice movie, little too much backcountry tought. But i love backcountry more than urban, so it made me happy :). I dindnt see Eye trip but Revolver def worth the 10 $ on itune

Soundtrack was terrible, about 5 MAJOR reused songs,bleh.

Lots of repetitive bc jumps and lines (even though they were sick, very repetitive)

Not very special editing or filming, nothing very impressive. I've seen PBP make better, i wish johnny would make one again with all film again.

I think most people must just hate the music/editing because Dane, Pep, Chuck Ager, Sammy, JP, Julien, etc all SLAYED some shit.

Also, there was def some urban in there and a couple park shoots with the likes of Sammy, Dane, Matt Walker, LJ, C Gag, Martini, dumont, Jossi, JF Houle...

I'm sure Johnny has been hearing lots of comments and will take it upon himself to use his banger footage from this year a bit more wisely.

However, I think some of y'all should watch it again because there's more going on than you can catch at a premiere.

Watching Durtschi in this one was painful. Hopefully he's mending well and will be back with a vengeance this season.

i don't think i've heard anyone discredit any of the skiers in the movie, all i've heard is how terribly boring the movie is despite the good skiing. this includes terrible music, terrible athlete interviews (holy shit these guys use snowmobiles? i never would've fuckin known that! and technology is influencing skiing? holy santa claus shit alert the fuckin presses), and overall just boring editing. not to mention that night pow segment was like 7 minutes too long. the entire movie was probably 30 minutes too long. i was waiting for the end pretty much half way through.

learn to be more concise poorboyz. and take out the talking it's making the athletes look so god damn stupid. i can't remember what nick martini was talking about but i'm pretty sure it made my head hurt.

well i finally watched it

really great skiing, bad music, boring editing, way too long. lots of shots that couldve been left out. no offense to poor boyz but i havent liked their movie in a while, with all due respect i dont know how you can make such a boring movie with so many good shots.

oh and why the fuck dont people use film anymore?

eye trip was not very good, revolver wasnt great, but i definitely think it was better than eye trip. level 1 has gone down hill, and lost like half of their best riders.

100% agree. on some of those lines, if you fall your done. thats it, no miracles. i also liked the soundtrack alot i dont know why its gettin so much hate. the editing could have been better though

I thought Revolver was pretty bad.  The skiing was sick but the editing, athlete interviews, song selection etc. annoyed me.  I really liked Sammy's aggressive/go huge style in that 6-7 jump section at Loon (?)
