Replying to Preparing for Breckenridge

I am currently preparing to head of to Breck in a few weeks time for the season, and since a lot of NS ride there I was hoping you'd be able to offer me any helpfull advice.

For example, is there enough snow in town to need waterproof footwear of will regular trainers be alright? Best places for powder riding at breck in bounds? Need for avalanche transceiver and backcountry gear? Free wifi in town?

Any tips/advice would be much appreciated!
