so the other day i broke my armada alpha 1's and need some new skis. im debateing on getting another pair or some ninthward hhp's. i loved the alpha 1's but am curious if anyone has rode or has a pair of hhp's? whats the weight on them and how stiff/soft are they?
i got last years hhp, they are hads down my favorite ski i have ever ridden, i am 150 pounds and they are a medium stiffness, they excellent for butters yet not soft enough to make them bad for jumps. they are extremely stable on bigger jumps and have a really nice and slow swing rate. last year i mainly did rails and they slaid them. get this ski, for the price too, you cant go wrong.
thanks simon that helped alot..i know i really liked the alpha 1s but ive never tried other skis before and was just curious. are the hhps heavy of a fairly light ski? as we all know the alphas a super light and i want something around the same weight
ive also got 166 afterbangs and im debating on getting some 176 HHPs, i need something alot more stable and stiffer than the afterbang. whats the swing rate difference
Well compared to my 166 afterbangs the 176 hhps had a slower spin rate. but much smoother. And it depends on if you like your skis long or short. I'm 5 6 - 5 7 and i ride 176. If I were you id go with the 181s that are coming out this year.
hows the weight ? i have some 155 afterbang, personally i think theyre heavy as shit and stiff as a rock, sure they can take a beating even tho the chip like hell,i m buying some new skis and ive been wanting to buy some 9s for a long time ,im thinking about the 165 hhps or another pair of afterbangs, soo what do you guys suggest, are the 9s stiff or heavyy compared to the afterbangs, the shorter the ski the worse flex pattern and all the teqnology goes to waste,so what im really asking is whats the difference between the two, which one is better and why, weight, flex?
