not a huge fan of the long black bar with "rising of peaks." I think you could probably find a better way to put that text in.

I think it would look better if he kept the black bar, but without text in it, and then used something similar to those 2 examples you did. I just think the black bar at the bottom looks good as a base for the logo kinda.

Whenever I see a thread about some kid making his own company it always seems to be a knock off of another brand. This however seems quite original and i'm digging the logo. Good luck man!
