New Camera...halp...

So I just got this Nikon D5000 and its pretty sick. The picture quality is awesome, camera is awesome, its really versatile. I've read through the manual and have begun tinkering with manual settings, but I can't seem to find how to manually set the exposure times. Anyone know how?

I's suggest reading through that manual, or taking a look online here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond5000/page7.asp

Set it to "M" for full manual, or "S" for shutter priority and the dial will allow you to control shutter speed.
