Sarah Palin running may actually be a good thing ... ok stick with me on this one.

Moderate republicans would be alienated by Palin.  Moderate democrats have a high disapproval of Obama.  That leaves a HUGE gap in the middle.  It could FINALLY lead to the rise of a third party.  A solid Libertarian candidate could be favored in an election that features Obama and Palin.  And then, at last, the Party of common sense would be in power (sort of).

However, it would be very unlikely that the GOP would run Palin and that the Dems would run Obama again.  I would suspect that if the GOP doesn't choose her as their puppet, that she would still try to run on her own under the Tea Party banner.  Who the Dems would choose as their marionette though, remains to be seen.

A two party system is silly in my opinion.  There is no way the majority of people can agree with the majority of policies each side believes in.  And I think a lot of the country will start to realize that they are moderate and lean more towards the Libertarian Party.

Sorry if that came across as a big commercial for libertarians, haha.

If the GOP had waited 4-8 more years for her to get more experience and the libs hadn't done EVERYTHING they could to destroy her image, which has already been destroyed...look at how many people HATE her, then she could have been in the running for 2012 or 2016. Her running for 2012 is dumber than fucking mike huckabee.
