Replying to What Camera?

Hey semi-late night NS?

So this year, a friend and I are going to be doing some filming and put togther an edit or something of that nature. And of course to do filming, you need a camera. So this is where you boys come in. We've been searching all over for that perfect camera. Now me, personally, I don't know that much about cameras (in terms of specs and all) and I won't be doing that much filming. So we were both really interested in the 7D. You all know this camera, it was used in Paper Planes, and in NetWork. Of course it's a bit pricey and we were looking for something that has about the same specs and capibility that the 7D has. Now, we're looking for something that is a little cheaper than the 7D, but not so cheap that the quality of the camera is bad. Just hit me up with suggestions, and tell me whats good about the camera and maybe embed a video of test footage (You don't have to, I'll be looking up test footage for every camera mentioned anyway). So please help us out.
