So that was stupid.

So my bud got left in my car from last night.
Unfornunately thats the car my dad took to work today before i realized.
SO. the bud is in a headphones case that doesn't look suspecious at all, but i left my bright red lighter right next to it. which might draw attention.
Right after school i'm planning to drive over to his office and nab it, hoping he hasn't noticed it yet. (Its right in the open compartment under the CD player)
However, if he does notice, and confronts me, what's my response?
Anyone had to deal with this before?

if he finds the lighter but it doesnt make him look and find the bud, tell him you were giving a friend a ride that smokes ciggies

when i lived at home i got caught a number of times by my folks, they never did anything but tell me to be safe about it. he probably wont do anything unless he's an ass about it. just be up front and explain  your position to him.

UPDATE:
Got to my dads office and got my stuff back, but it was pretty clear he had found it. So i just had a conversation with him and was honest. He's pissed but not so much about me smoking, just that it was in the car. So, I think i'm ok,but we haven't had the conversation about punishment yet, but i'm assuming there'll be something. now i have to go tell my mom. FML.

RIP, but how bad is it when you have friends that drive?

there could be a lot worse things they could have done. what if they banned yo from using the fridge? what if they took away a potential ski pass?

really when i got caught smoking my parents were most upset about smoking in my car, it really is risky. Cops are out to get you and having weed in your car is such a bad thing when you get pulled over. I always find a stash spot in my cars by pulling out a panel or something and double bagging it helps too.
