hey man, I would support meat raised on small farms and wild hunted meat long before I would support mass production. we need to bring back trained butchers and small locally owned and operated processing centres. (easier said than done.) nowadays, a few large plants process meat that is shipped all across the nation. what do you think happens if one plant is contaminated? how long would it be until the proper authorities find out? before long, yo momma is paralyzed... oh noes! now what do you do!
for me, being vegetarian is about not wanting to put food that has been exposed to feces into my body, and eating what tastes good (taste is subjective)..oh and sometimes that "cruelty" thing.. and the environment or whatever. the type of meat I can afford has been processed in plants that are largely uninspected... bacon is yummy, but I'd rather save my brain, and not have to worry about cross-contamination, parasites, fecal matter, etc.
hey, chill, that's just my two cents.
with that being said, a high five to those who eat natural, grass-fed, or wild meats. to all the rest, props for having the balls to eat shitty meat.
