so im gonna mount my 163 chronic crips with marker griffons in a week or 2 and i am really struggling with where to mount them. i ski in pa so that means a lot of park. i love to ski pow on the rare occasion and challenging terrain so i was wondering if i could still do that at center. but i do ski mostly park cause pa mountains are garbage except seven springs. so i guess im around 70% park and 30% other but i never went center mount and my local shop guy said u lose a lot of ability to ski pow and hard terrain. i know people are gonna say search bar and i did already i just really wanna get the binding position right so where should i mount them?
I know personally that Compton, Wesson, and Parry ride their CCs are True Center, and they say they love it there. You wont loose that much control, Line designs their park and all-mountain skis to be ridden very well at True Center because they know their market. And, lets face it, are you going to get that much powder in PA? Everyone I've talked to (both on and off the Line team) loves their Cryptonites at true center and riding a center ski is slightly awkward at first, but you get used to it really quick.
