usually when I watch a ski move, it's about the escape... something about watching the most talented riders on the planet, ski some of the most beautiful, and insane lines, features, and locations. Something that I can't attain.
Now I knew TSP wouldn't have much of my typical movie criteria, it was quite obviously a low budget film, with riding that was undoubtedly above average, but by no means astounding. To be honest, the first time I watched it, I was almost a little disappointed (unfortunately due to an amazing trailer). But after watching Come Find Us for about the fourth time, I can safely say that it's by far my favorite ski movie to date.
I felt no escape from my ordinary life, but rather a renewed love for it. This movie sent me into a week-long nostalgia trip, reminiscing about my circle of firends that I recently left behind (it's my first year at college), my home mountain, and every weekend when I would wake up with a genuine feeling of stoke, knowing that I was going skiing, and despite the usually shitty conditions, I was going to have a great day with any one of my friends who would undoubtedly be there.
I would like to issue a genuine thank you to everyone involved in the making of Come Find Us. You've truly created a work of art.
