First off, I will agree that I have never heard a good dubstep song in an edit, so I do see where you're coming from. I do, however, feel compelled to stand up for a truly incredible genre. I will also admit that very popular dubstep sucks dick. Caspa, Mt. Eden, Datsik, Excision, It's terrible.

But to everybody saying dubstep is awful, basing this decision on Caspa, Datsik, or whoever else 14 year old wannabe hippy girls call dubstep these days, you say this in ignorance.

So please, everybody, do some musical research before you walk around trying to make funny analogies about what dubstep sounds like. It makes you seem like an ignorant ass hole to anybody that knows even the slightest bit about dubstep.

/rant, you're still invited to hate dubstep, I'm just trying to make a step forward.

I'll stop there. Of course there will be people that just plain don't like dubstep, just give it a chance past the awful dubstep you've probably been exposed to.

what you call dubstep [those songs] were shitty ass dubstep and second of all excision and datsik are dope you've obviously never gone to raves and heard that genre of music on 50 000 watt speakers so

hahaha alright. Yeah, I've been to "raves" and heard that music on "50 000 watt speakers." It's fine live, but that's just cause its loud as fuck and i was trippin. I don't want to need acid and 50000 watt speakers to enjoy a song.

Excision is like one of my favorite artists. I agree caspa sucks but that shouldn't be acknowledged.

Not gonna lie I kinda like mainstream dubstep, I have to agree alot of the songs are the same thing but I do enjoy them every once in awhile.

It's clear you're not grasping a very basic musical concept, so I'll attempt to explain it to you simply. The people that make the music do not expect it to be played back on professional speaker systems. They *gasp* understand that people do not have speaker systems as nice as they do, and therefore would never use the consumer having a bad speaker system as a defense for their music. That would be plain retarded.

On newschoolers there are often people talking shit about skiiers like dumont. When none of them can ski anywhere close to dumont. I don't care for dumont much but this is exactly what you're doing with excision.
Could you make dope ass dubstep? play multiple shows each month? get thousands of fans?

If excision was terrible people probably wouldn't listen to him.
Maybe he sounds terrible to you, but thats just like your opinion man. I think its a bad opinion, but whatever.

Maybe say something like "I don't really like excision" next time instead of saying him, datsik, and others suck dick.

its artists like joy orbison, shlohmo, Plastician, skream and benga that are saving dubstep from being a completly lost genre, Dubstep has changed so much for the good but so much for the bad too, artists like excision, datsik are just mashing random noise 2getha.

Rusko is doing basic production for Britney spears, it's not dubstep.

And to your second statement, yes, with the exception of benga, I love all of those artists you mentioned as saving dubstep, especially joy orbison.

Ok, I was a little too harsh on excision. you can stop being so butthurt about it now.

No i can't make good dubstep. No I cant play multiple shows each month. No i can't get good fans. That doesn't take away from my right to an opinion, to think it does is pathetic of you. It doesn't matter if i can ski as well as Dumont, he's still a cunt. It doesn't matter if I can't make dubstep as good as datsik, excision, or anybody else i have mentioned, I still don't like them.

Sure I listen do Pop Dubstep and hate the mainstream. Saying that if they weren't good nobody would listen to them is true. but again, it does not degrade my right to say they aren't good.
