I have been living in Norway since July and will be back in Bellingham in December. Baker is my home mountain and i am tired of all people from Seattle coming up. I know it's good for the resort to get more money but it gets tracked out SO fast. There are plenty of good resorts for the people in Seattle to ski.

What i don't understand is why people who have nothing to do with the NW are getting pissed. I can understand why people from Seattle or that area might get offended but not people from hundreds of miles away. Just my thoughts on this evidently sensitive topic.

Ya i might have come off a little hard. But I don't mind if the people who are coming up to Baker can shred, I just don't like the older fellas who clog up the parking lot and almost kill me because they can't snowboard. Just my opinion of course.

I get where you're coming from, I used to live in Banff and the tourists really get to you in the holidays. But at the same time they make the resort open. And to be fair baker is never that busy... I don't go often as students pass at whistler is super cheap. But I can't help but go to baker for a pow day and steal your local snow.

ok so baker is the snowiest resort in the world, there is no possible way u can expect people from only b-ham to go there, besuides who the fuck cares were in the same state, WA respect bro. if anything u shud only want at least our state to go there. which is still rediculous. dont be an overprotective local, the mtn is not urs

bakerpow if you actually knew a thing or two about baker is that if its snowing hard your tracks will be filled before your next run.

What you need is a snowmobile. After having entire mountains to share between a handful of sled crews it feels so shitty standing in line at snowbird with 80 other people all skiing the same little part of the mountain.

Or just skins and trekkers if you're a granola.

driving through Ferndale this evening and the clouds parted and BAM! everything white with a snowline and all...I agree with how the weather just feels like its going to stay cold....its going to be sooner than later this year!
