Any thoughts on this camera? Thinking bout grabbing one for the season...we got a GL2 for video so a still is the next purchase. Thanks!

if you are new, then do not get a 5d, it will be way to much camera for you. Pick up a t2i kit if this is gonna be your first dslr

Ive messed around with me parents Nikon D300 a bit and like it, I dont wanna buy a camera and then want more features after a month.

All i was simply stating was that I dont wanna get a cheap camera, then outgrow its features real quick. What does the 5D offer that the T2I doesnt?

a full frame sensor and a different body construction. but you won't see a need for those. The t2i is more than sufficient, plenty of resolution, more fps than the 5d mki, shoots video, and has a crop sensor. plus the t2i or some other camera is cheaper. you can buy the best canon they offer right now, it'll be replaced by next year.

your not going to judging by your posts in this thread....

just get a low end canon or nikon and start to actually shoot, not ask NS about cameras that don't exist

I made a suggestion....

get a t2i or something similar from canon, or a D5000 or something similar from Nikon, I don't think you understand the circumstances in which someone "grows out of" their DSLR, you should be more than fine for a while while you learn the basics

No worries, thanks for the info ill check those out...if you ski out at Loon do you know Stratman, Gardner, Gus....any of those guys?

I know Gardner, we are planning on filming a lot together this season, and although I can't picture them at the moment, I'd probably recognize the other two

Stratman looks like a water melon, gus is a tall black guy with dreads...Stalker Image baby...Gardner is a great guy.
