Not really, except I obviously spend a lot more time than them skiing.

Then again most people I know well are skiers as well so maybe that's why we have the same outlook on life!

I chose my college partially on its proximity to snow... so yeah, that is a big section of my life that is different than non-skiers.

This may sound cheesy when I say this but skiing has made me who I am today. Its taught me to have a better outlook on things and its taught me to look on the brightside of life. Its also helped me stay out of trouble. And its brought me some of my best friends.

i wear tall-t,my backyard is fucking ulgy because of my setup(lol but for me its B_E_A_U_T_I_F_U_L) and i spend a lot of time on skiing.

I Love the winter, I never complain about the cold temperatures.




People who don't do winter sports don't know what they are missing, growing up in NY i have always hated when people complained about our somewhat cold winters, hearing that it's too damn cold all the time, Seriously? Just move. Easier said than done but grow a pair and live with it if nothing else.

I  am happy all year round, people bitch about rain and snow in the winter, and I smile.

Sometimes I see people and think, man they would love life so much more if they knew what the mountains were like. But I guess its an expensive sport

becuase of skiing i now understand more that the easy way down or "out" isnt better. if you take the easyway or the easely acsesssible trails or bowls you wont get the best snow or the least tracked snow. spending a little more time is usually worth it.

It taught me a lot about math
for example
Geometry I can recite all the degree's of spins up to 1800 at intervals of 90. Other than that I just appreciate winter a whole lot more.

pretty much. o and also today people thought it was snowing in 45 degree weather and me and my other friend who snowboards were just laughing cause they were stupid as hell and was obviously rain and us two were the only ones who knew it was rain.

hahaha it did the opposite for me. the kids i skied with practically dragged me into the party scene. i mean, im glad they did but it was definitely a factor.

and i wear much different clothes. my tshirts are usually about 2-3 times larger than my friends.

my life has changed alot, first of all as cheesey as it is, since ive started skiing more than just a small amount each year and went out as much as possible ive been alot happier. also all my closest friends are skiers, theres hust something about doing stupid stuff togeather then spending a day progressing on the mtn togeather that is unmatched outside of skiing.

hahah if i never started snowboarding i would have a 100% different life. i cant even imagine what it would be like. winter influences all of my decisions and aspects of life. all of my friends i have met at the mountain, all the shit ive done and seen, i fucking graduated highschool early to snowboard more. its insane really. not a single day goes by where i dont think "man i wish i was snowboarding right now"

plus I walk around and see tons of stuff to jib. everyone else stays inside all winter.

I agree with all this, except that its not skiing that actually makes us be like that, its the obsession or at least interest in something.  I think that if skiing had never been invented, well id probably have a lot of the same qualities that skiing has sparked.  It would probably just be about something else.  In fact i know it would be because i have passion in other parts of my life.  So absolutely skiing has blessed me and has shaped me, but anything else could also do that.
