I've broken my arm/wrist twice skiing, and both times it was really bad. I got plates and screws twice and my doctor is really nervous about me doing it again. I know if i put a regular brace on it will just break above the plate right on my elbow and again, my doctor has no idea what he would do if that happened. Are there any high tech contraptions that could magically absorb the impact instead of the bone just breaking farther uP? R.E.D. makes a "Total impact wrist guard" but they aren't even kind enough to explain what it does, and when i brought it up to a local shop they had no idea and said i would need to look into it myself.
