180 degree turn in opinion for me since I listened to The Suburbs.



This track is the best off The Suburbs, and it's an A tier 10/10. good job guys. I don't care if Wayne Coyne thinks you're douchebags. That album was great.

Did your brother get onto your account again? This thread is a little out of character for you.

This album was FAR superior to their previous ones. The first time I listened to it properly I actually just lay on my bed and let my mind be blown. It flows really well and I felt that the sounds were tied together a lot better. My only real issue is I feel like something is lacking in Regine's vocals for Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) but I can't quite put my finger on what.

I forgot about the time difference between Vancouver and Calgary so I didn't manage to get tickets to the concert but my friends who went said they started crying midway through because of how epic it was (yeah I have cool friends, I know). They pretty much weren't functioning the next day they were so in awe of it.

Actually, i was making fun of hipsters by calling him pedestrian, so yeah. Characteristic.

But yeah, sprawl II was the only letdown. That and Rococo wasn't too good either.

I was referring more to the fact that you created a positive thread about the arcade fire. The pedestrian comment was definitely you playing your part.

I'd have to say my least favourite song is actually Modern Man. Somehow it just seems to lack the feeling of the rest of the album. I'm still more let down by sprawl II just because I feel like it had a lot of potential, it could have been the top song but they got a few pieces wrong.

Are you serious!? This album was awesome but Funeral was one of the best albums that I may have very heard.

I saw them in Toronto and it was by far the best show that I had ever seen. Amazing, everything about them is awesome.

Sprawl II makes me want to get up and dance, it's an anthem that can blasted from the car radio crusing down the highway watching the sunset.  I think it's amazing.

this song's pretty good, but the arcade fire mostly just bore me. there's nothing in there songs that ever stands out, they just kind of... go, i guess.

I actually liked sprawl II, but sprawl I is much better. I didn't really like Rococo. I think the last song, the continuation of suburbs, is so good though. Even though it's short.

I like most of their songs though. All the songs of funeral are god, but this album is good too.

Funeral had some absolutely incredible stand alone songs, as did Neon Bible. But I never felt the need to listen to either as an album. I focused on my favourite songs and only occasionally listened to the rest.
I still feel the need to listen to The Suburbs from start to finish every time. It doesn't have the one standout song the way the others did but all of the songs work together.
