okay, now's as good a time as any to ask this..

given enough time (and the assumption that evolution as we understand it is true and will continue to work), will humans possibly be able to watch a group of monkeys or whatever evolve into things nearing the intelligence of humans?

probably not cuz then wed be evolved into something more intelligent than humans

but isnt there reason to think we arent going to evolve anymore the same way we used to? people who in the wilderness would die really quick and not pass on their genes can have babies and shit, and even though strong intelligent attractive guys with dicks the size of kansas like me get way more pussy than others, there isnt so much of a reason to assume evolutionarily "good" genes will get passed on while bad ones won't, right?

also, even if we've evolved a shit ton we could still watch them, assuming we havent fucked this planet in the ass and peaced (big assumption, i know), we could still watch it happen right? im not saying watch them evolved into our level at the time, just evolve to the level we're at now
