MPEG streamclip help- no pro res?

So I'm trying to edit footage with my go pro and it's in 60 fps, which won't open in FCP. I looked online a little and the suggestion was to use MPEG streamclip to convert the batch of files to a format called "Apple Pro Res." However, this is not on the listed options of what I can convert to...

I have FCP version 6.06 if that helps...

try upgrading to FCP 7, I have it and it lists Apple Pro Res, so I'm assuming this format is pretty new.

Do I have to pay the new version or can i just update my current version? Where do I update it?
