New ski suggestions (park)

Hello, my name is Chris and I ski in mostly western canada with trips to hood in the summer. I am a type 3 skiier that skis everything. What I'm looking for in this future pair of skis is a good park only ski and I would like a park only ski that is on the higher end of the spectrum. I am 18 5'10, 170 pounds. I dont really have a budget as I work at a ski shop and can get some great deals.

Now that I've got that out of the way. I am currently skiing on first gen alpha 1's with (inbeforehate) marker gryphon's. I really do like the rockered park ski but I'm willing to try a regular ski. I'd rate myself as a fairly good park skiier. I can do a few flips and I'm going to be trying corks and rodeos this year. I'm looking for a ski with a low swing weight like my alpha 1's.

At this point I'm open to all suggestions. I've been looking at armada again but the nordica ace of spades looks pretty solid. Open to all suggestions however.

Sparknotes: Decent park skiier looking for low swing weight (lol gimmicks) ski. I ski western canada and hood. no budget as of yet.

I would suggest getting the armada t-hall's with FKS 140's

Very low swing weight although they arn't the lightest ski in the world (i have found most of the weight to be centered underfoot). Very durable. Quite stiff so they are good for jumps if you are looking to progress flips/spins onto larger features as they will be more stable in the air. Have you preferred a stiffer or a softer ski in the past?

I started off in the past with a stiff k2 silencer, it was my first all mountain park ski. Then I Had a pair of the t-halls (scarface year) which were extremely buttery. From there I went to the alpha ones which were also buttery. I weight 175 pounds ish and im not looking for a super soft ski. So I've been all over.

To answer the question, I dont think I would mind either. Something more stable in the air would be really nice however.

IMO you might be a little heavy for the punx. I never skied them though when i was that weight. The walls would be sick too because they are quite stiff, semetrical side cut and quite poppy. The T-hall has a carbon ollie band in them so it would be a totally different ski from what you last remember riding on.

Alright it also looks like the Alphas have a whole bunch of new stuff in them too that looks so cool. They look so much different even though they only came out 2 seasons ago. Gah theres so many choices.

I've narrowed it down to:

T-halls
Alpha 1's
Punx (will go check these out at the shop)
Ace of spades


Also +K to everyone who contributed to this thread, it helps a lot. There were just so many things to chose from.

The stepup looks super sick but boy is it ugly as hell. Add that to the list.

i just picked up some moment reno jibs and if i were you i would seriosly consider a pair. definately the lightest ski i have picked up

I'm gonna be a curveball here and suggest the Ninthward Le Comte (aka mik D pros) w/e.
Its the only park ski I have ridden that has lasted more than one season with all edges intact. Infact, This will be my third season on my first pair of them (of course I have others).. Some edge cracks but nothing missing even after that long. They are a ski thats full of life. and most excellent in the park as well as the mountain. Don't expect an all mtn ski, as they are only 80 at the wasit, but they absolutely crush it in the park.

the le comte looks pretty sick, my only concerns with it are stiffness as well as length, they only come in a 176. I was looking for a 172 ish I would think. But does anyone have any experience with this ski? Any comments about it?

where do you live and what resort do you mostly ski? what shop do you work at?

I recommend ON3P Blue Steele. It's completely symmetrical in shape, flex, and rocker. It rides identical in both directions and has a stiffer flex that makes it more stable on landings, while the rockered tip and tail makes the skis more buttery and playful. It's cheaper and better quality than any mass produced ski and will blow your mind. I guarantee it! Check on3pskis.com

I ride C.O.P, sunshine, whistler and then going back to hood this summer if I can save up the funds again. I work at sundance ski shop.

God damn those blue steeles look so sick as well. Thats defs top 2 on my list right now. So many choices =(
