without a doubt worth seeing. its so much better than the typical slasher/gory/ torture horror movies that seem to be so popular right now. i thought it was better than the original, but it was really interesting because its sort of a prequel that ties into the first one and adds to the ending of the origional

the first one was so unbelievably horrible that i dont know if i can even stand the thought of sitting through the second. one of my top 5, if not the worst movie ive ever seen. a boring talking movie with 1 "scary" shot that was given away in the commercial.

By far the last half of the movie is one of the scariest things ive ever seen or heard for that matter. The sounds alone are enough to scare the shit outta you. Great movie I strongly recommend.

ok skeptics I agree the first one totally sucked, however, numba 2 is totally different. I am a huge horror movie buff and therefore im kinda desensetized (spelling?) and have not really been terribly frightened by any horror movies, but I went to PA2 last night and my girl, and friends and I were fucking scared shitless after the movie. It is definately worth seeing it was very well done compared to the original.

It was very much worth sneeking in. Alot more creative than the first, but it just doesn't give that vibe I got from the first one. This one is more jumpy than creepy. I give it 7.5/10

WOW, that was shit. So short, so much hype, didn't pull through, we all know what thats like, eh.

and half the shit in the trailer isnt in the movie. the chick in the bathroom, hunter on the street, etc. the 1st one is better. but i like how the chick does work at the end. fuckin runs show ahha. and man.

If you're the kind that goes for slasher/gory/jumper horror movies, you'll hate Paranormal Activity 2.

Paranormal activity 2 is different in that it's psychologically invasive, not that it makes you jump or just shoves scary images down your throat. It takes all the bizarre bumps and creaks you hear in the night, and provides a very sinister explanation for them. One of the big things for me is that it takes place in comfortable, (not so) safe suburbia, and takes away the delusion that scary things only happen in creepy houses/graveyards. It's kind of like a could-happen-to-you type horror movie.

In a lot of the shots, you sit there fucking scanning the screen, looking for something amiss, and when you see it, it's like OH FU-. My only complaint is that I would have preferred to see more eery special effects, like eyes peering out of closets and mysterious "beings" chillin behind people.

Overall though, I thought it was awesome. My only suggestion would be to wait for it to come out, and rent it and watch it with a couple people in a dark basement. That eliminates the possibility of any assholes you might have in the back of the theater laughing at the scary parts.

Sparknotes: If you're looking for a slasher/jumper movie, don't see it. If you're looking for one that will make you think, and come back to bite you when you're up late at night - see it.

I have never really got scared watching a horror movie but this one did the job, i was scared shitless. I didn't think the first one was good at all, definitely worth going to see.

The movie was completely ruined for me by the audience, every time it went to night the annoying sound of a whole theater shifting around "getting ready" for what was going to happen just pissed me off. People scream at the dumbest shit. My advice wait for it to come to dvd, buy invite friends over and start it at 10 in a basement then go to "haunted places" in your town.

Honestly that movie was not scary at all.  Ive seen it twice now.  Once super high, and once sober.  Either time wasnt scary.  It was seriously more funny than scary.  I never jumped once or anything like that. 

Dont waste your money on it.
