If you look under a thread category the most recent thread or thread with the most recent post comes up first, but once you get in the thread you are met with the oldest posts....
My idea or proposal is to change that, and make threads more like the categories, or a live chat. This wouldn't have to be required or default, but I think a way to see the new additions to the thread rather than going to the last page and scrolling to the endless bottom would be a good addition to the site. It wouldn't have to be default as I said, but there could be a togle switch or a seperate collumn.
This Is just an Idea, but seeing todays world innovating, especially in the world of ergonomics and funcionality (see documentary "Objectified") I think US, being the smartest people in the world, should get on the train. But then again i'm not a programmer, so i'm not sure how hard it would be, but at first glance of the site, I feel like were in capable hands.
