Are you sure there's only 17? I hear about one or two every year. I know it's an extremely difficult task, and perhaps even the most difficult feat in sports, but I thought it happened more than that. Also, is it Johnson's first perfect game? I wouldn't be surprised if he already has one or two under his belt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in a perfect game, no one even reaches first base safely. Basically no walks or hit batsmen. I heard Johnson only had one 3 ball count against the 27 batters he faced.

The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

How the fuck does anyone, never mind a 40 year old, throw a 98mph fastball in the ninth inning after starting. Apparently he threw a 97 mph fastball for his 26th out. At that point it's gotta be pure addrenaline taking over your body, 'cause that's just fucking insane. Not just insane, but fucking insane.
