Rossi Bindings and Brakes

alright so i bought a pair of rossi freeski2 140xxl and i have a pair of 2010 punx and obviously the brakes are way to wide. So i bought a pair of 80mm brakes for a rossi binding but when i got to switch the brakes the new brake doesn't fit as flush as the old break. i mean there is a bit more of a lip where the actual binding meets the brake. My question is will it affect anything? like will i be able to fully click into the bindings?
Thanks

are you sure you got the correct brake pattern? check to see that the plastic part that screws into the heel piece is the same size and shape as the original...if it is really close you might be fine, but the brakes could break

there are multiple kinds of Rossi brakes and they all (except for FKS) look very similar- you need to get the correct ones for your heel piece. Bring your heel into a shop and make sure to get the right fit.
