Hi i know ssx tricky was cool but it wasnt a pure ski videogame.

is there going to be a Tanner Hall or Simon Dumont (probably the most likely as he is the most commercialized skier out there) or Sammy carlson ski game like tony hawk has for skating?

because if so I fucking want that game NOW....

nope thier wouldent be enough profet, they only made skate because people who dont skateboard still buy it and the millions of people who do skate buy it too, if thier was a skiing game for xbox it would be very lame(not boring just shitty graphics) orelse the developers wont make any money




sparknotes: guarenteed thier will NOT be a good game for xbox about skiing

well there is Tanner hall pro skier but i didnt like it that much because it didnt let you do rails and only could ski pillow lines which was fun but got old

maybe in the next couple of years as skiing progresses and grows more on the mainstream... then they would be able to make a ski game that would actually profit. but for now its an almost forsure no

Jib life. Here's a graph of it's time till completion with Y being time till completion,you pick the unit as it doesn't matter,  and x being years. As you can see, traveling in either direction of time exponentially increases it's time till completion.

man wow... the sad thing is we all ski to get away from the consumer lifestyle.. and they wont make a fucking ski game because they wont make enough money, well look if they made a fucking sick ski game then people that dont ski just like the people that dont skate will buy it.... its a shame people only only only think about money...

The tables have not turned yet, but they're getting wider. In 2000 you, as a consumer and not especially an action sport enthusiast, had a couple of choices for a game:

Tony Hawk Skating
Dave Mirra BMX
SSX Snowboarding
Jonny Moseley Skiing

It's pretty obvious what happened there. Nowadays skiing is getting more recognition and could actually have talented game designers in a project. Maybe then we won't ever again have to think: "What if it snowed in San Fransisco?"

followed many years of wishful thinking and rumors, and is now finally a ski game on the way out in the stores again. It is Microsoft Studios, the company behind snowboarding game Amped, who realized the extreme sports world's lack of a skiing game that can keep up the high level that exists in the ski world.

According to a press statement, the game developers and operators just to develop the idea of a jib and free skiing game. Microsoft estimates that the game, with the sounding name stomped!, Will be out in stores for the winter 2012/2013. The game will be distributed by 2Ksports and is expected to come to Sweden in January 2013.

Stomped! will have an extensive Carrée mode at 33 hours, free play and also the opportunity to multiplayer. It is supported by Microsoft, in addition to the company X-lifers, ski profiles Glen Plaka and Simon Dumont, who will come with input about the features and appearance.
- It will be fun to be involved in the creation of stomped!, "Says Simon.

Glen Plaka and Simon Dumont will also provide a more real movement patterns for the characters in the game. During summer and autumn of 2011, the duo that for two months to go to X-lifers large development center just outside Detroit, Michigan, to record the movements using an advanced motion capture technology has been used in the film Avatar.

In the early 2000s was released Johnny Mosley's Mad Trix and after Freakout has also tried to suppress / increase the ski abstinence through a screen. Now hope Kyle Fincke at Microsoft Studios to stomped! should have the same impact as cult snowboarding game Amped.
- With stomped! we hope to ski enthusiasts will have the same opportunity as snowboarders to practice their favorite sport in front of the computer or TV, "says Kyle, who was also one of the key figures behind the Amped.

Stomped! will be released for Xbox 360 and PC and coming to Sweden at the beginning of 2013.

I think it is inevitable for a skiing game to come out, with the sudden new found love for skiing that a large number of the population is finding for the sport, developers have to notice, after all they aren't stupid. Judging by the posts above it is already happening.

freeskiing isnt popular enough for a company to make serious money look at skate. even those after not long are selling for 20 bucks and sakteboarding is much more populare then freeskiing

No sorry I disagree with the person that said it will have to be a ski AND snowboard game, FUCK THAT. There is the argument that there aren't enough free skiers that will buy it that's such shit! I play racing games am I a race driver no but I still bought it, MDW2 am I in the army no but I bought it, if some fat kid that lives in the desert wants to buy a freestyle ski game he will not because he skis but because the game is sick...
