mine are probably
1:REVOLVER, Powder was epic
2: YEARBOOK, first ski movie that filmed park from a helicopter
3:EDIAS, CR and tanner's edit made it for me and Dane's just all around great movie

- Edias
- SSD
- Pretty Good

There's a shitload of good movies and I never don't watch a movie or quit it before it's ended because I don't like it.

lol, i've been in freeskiing for years, and to prove it my favourites are session 1242, teddy bear crisis and happy dayz!

but seriously, while in context, those movies were spectacular, imo they can't hold a candle to recent movies. freeskiing is awesome now, dub flips, rail tricks, butters and shifties that never used to happen. old freeskiing is great, but new freeskiing is just too good.

my real list is probably something like...

idea (idea makes any list, regardless of what i said)

but i gotta give an honorable mention to the way i see it, reasons, white shine, push, war and ski porn, and basically every ski movie i've ever seen. we're pretty lucky to have the film companies that we do in the industry.

and sessions 1242, tbc and happy dayz were still sick movies

1. Afterlame- I know its not a ski movie but I think it influenced the ski and snowboard industry more then any other recent film. A lot of people prefer Lame, so that could go here too.

2. TBC

3. Dont think anything really compares to those for me, but I thought Refresh was put together very well.

To the person who said someone needs to make a movie with film again, I wish it could really be done, but budgeting is an issue right now. I take it though that you havent heard of Volcoms 9191 by Jake Price? I dont think its all film, but a lot of it is. Jake was a Robot Food filmer back in the day.

This, I would have totally added that to my list as well.  If we can include snowboarding i would include The Resistance, cause as weird as that sounds, that movie made me want to start skiing more than anything.

This is a hard list.  My one is easy, but the rest are hard.

1) Heavy Hitting Films: Parental Advisory.  My first ski movie, and it still is so much fun to watch.

2) Everday Is a Saturday.  I had a tough time between this and Ski Porn.  But at the end of the day I'm going to watch EDiaS over Ski Porn.

3)  Come Find Us.  I was going to put this as a runner-up because its so recent and I have a Bozeman biased.  However, it is one of my favorites.  I do hope next year's has more backcountry and freeride though.

I gotta give mention to some of my old stand bys, Subject to Change, Happy Dayz, Session 1242, and War.  I still like watching those flicks.

The only movies I didn't like were Pop Yer Bottelz and Warren Miller's Storm.  Storm was the last Miller movie I ever saw.  A half hour of penguins on a beach pissed me off.
